Class Chalet- Costa Sands(Downtown East), 22nd-24th June

This is the schedule for the class chalet! Please be enthusiastic about it ok! Since its not easy to get together.. Any comments, please tag on the tagboard. Constructive comments please. Can tag what you’re bringing, so like for EXAMPLE, if esther is bringing Mahjong, then other people don’t have to bring. Hope that you all will stay over, its quite a rare chance to get together as a class, especially at night lol. And Karmen will read Bedtime Story to us! And we can roleplay Macbeth! Haha.

DAY ONE
Meet at 6, according to Eleanor Low.
FREE ACTIVITY! Bring your own cards, mahjong, vcds, dvds, books to entertain yourself. We will hire Karmen Wong to read bedtime story (Cao Fang Zi or Macbeth) for us. Karmen, if you’re reading this, you’re hired! Erm no pay, you will be awarded a certificate made by Sean! Ooh how exciting!

DAY TWO
We will be planning Amazing Race/Record Day!
MORNING 7AM- Ahlong and Yiling the PE reps will lead us in a healthy morning exercise! Whee! Ahlong please make sure your shirt is not too short… I think everyone understands what this means hee hee.

Breakfast after Morning Exercise! Don’t wander off on your own, we must eat as a class! :D

Free Activity after breakfast.

AFTERNOON12PM- Start of Amazing Race! Those who did not stay over on the previous day please arrive by 12pm! This is very important!

Amazing Race- its just like DHSXPLORE, just that it only revolves around Downtown East and there’s no 5 bucks for you to claim cause you’re supposed to walk. Clues will be dropped, hints will be given. Some stations may require you to do some dares, some may ask you to break a ‘record’, all these exciting activities against the race of time! Remember, teamwork is very important! Winning is not really important, but the process will be fun! :D

AFTERNOON 4PM- End of games. Rest, wash up, and prepare for the barbeque.

She turned to the black man and said "Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in first class." At that moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had just witnessed stood up and applauded.

it seems like two years have gone by in a flash. the two years we spent as a class. when i look into the classroom, i can't help but laugh uncontrollably at all the stupid stuff we did in class. when we all laughed at each other's stupid joke & ways. i can't help but feel disturbed by the fact that when we return two dunmanhighschool in 2007, we will no longer be in the class that we have spent two years together with. the faces we have been seeing daily for the past two years will all be streamed into different classes.

with time will it still be the same? will you still wave hi to me when we pass the corridoors? will you still be there to comfort me when i need you? will you still be there to give me the support i need? will you still be there to cry with me? will you still be there laugh with me? will you be there to share the burden? will time change us?

things will never be the same in 2007 in a class that i am unfamilliar with. it cannot compare to the times twojateka had as a class. to be honest, i never had such a great time together with a class. but twojateka changed it. i used to detest going to school, but you guys were my motivation.

we will go to different classes in the folowing years and the years that follow after. but it will never be the same. it will not be TWOJATEKA, every part and parcel cannot be exactly the same.

Heya my beloved 2J...

I never felt so close to a group of people before, all these ups and downs we went through together. I can't think of any adjective that can fully describe my feelings for you guys. I can't have survived classes without all the fun injected by you guys, i never felt so at home. It seemed so natural to hang around you people and i never felt more at ease with you people.

I can't come to terms with separation but sadly, its true. While i try to keep my bawling to the minimal when the last day comes, i believe that all of us would feel sad. Our class has the collection of the wackiest personalities ever, its what make it so special and makes jateka, Jateka.

I can almost hear "Graduation Song" in the background as i write this post. I know i am Emo, but there comes a time where tears cannot express my loss. I never want to leave 2J, it holds such precious memories, all the tears and laughter that we shared.

Even though we wouldn't be far apart, it would never be the same, would it?

hey 2J. after reading the previous post i feel like writing something too!

the previous post was really touching. i cried, mind you. my keyboards now wet from tears! :'D

okay lets get to the point..

i was really really touched that day. everybody cheering for each other. even though we lost, but still displaying our strong bond. supporting, comforting, helping one another. and cheering each other up when we're down. i really really felt happy, (REALLY!) to be part of Jateka, and not any other class. for we are what we are, and as i saw everybody cheering, supporting, i didnt want it to end. i wanted the moment to last forever, where we'll always be jateka. together.

these 2 years have really been very memorable. and i will always treasure them..

remember.. ourselves in lessons; writing like siao people during history lessons, having fun out together at kfc etc, watching movies together, cheering for each other during the interclass..

practising real hard for the interclass as well as the youth day skit 2005, forming an alliance against TYC; the Great Bonding, the fun chinese lessons, the nice LA lectures in the audi where we started the f**d trend, having fun during lessons..

going through the tests. the exams. the boring talks, the fun ones. new teachers, old ones.

everything that we had done, all the time we spent together. all these are to be cherished. forever.

for we had starting out as strangers, and we are now friends. these 2 years. enduring, challenging, journeying together. through everything. even if we do not emerge as champions, we will always be, in our hearts.

and when we do go our separate ways in the coming future, we will turn back, and look at these memories. and remember..

i really really love all ya guys! thank you for everything. so, i have something to say to everyone..

we slowly grew up together as a class. winning top class challenge! most enthusiastic class! 3rd in vball! 3rd in soccer! we brought ourselves further then we imagined. we did it. we believed in each other. we are successful. what is success? it is a toy balloon among children armed with pins. we are that balloon among the children armed with pins. we may not always emerge first/champions, but the most important thing is the experience we gained as a class, doing our best as a class, having fun as a class, striving as a class.

This is SEAN's representation as a maple creature.

My study plans for EOY....
I prefer to study my favourite subjects first, because I usually can retain my memory for them for a longer period of time. Here's what I mean.
-
My memory half-life (basically roughly how long I can retain what I've studied)

Lang Arts: 1.5-2 months
Geog: 2-7 days
Science: 4-5 months (depends much on the topic)
Maths: 2 months (requires practice, not memory work alone)
History: 2-4 months (not much memory work needed)
Chinese: 10 seconds (no joke)

So knowing this, it would be quite easy to derive a proper study schedule for myself.

Studying in this order:
1. Science
2. History
3. Lang Arts
4. Geog
(all the while practicing maths)

Note: I have not put down Chinese as a study subject, due to the fact that my half-life for Chinese knowledge is so freaking short that in 5 minutes 99.99999% of what I've learnt would have undergone radioactive decay, and chances are that 0.00001% of what's retained would not be tested. And that's just after 5 minutes. Besides, such a high level of decay going on in my head would produce high levels of radiation which might result in brain damage, as well as the accelerated decay of other subject knowledge I've studied, leading to memory losses. Worst case scenario, high levels of highly-radioactive Chinese knowledge in my brain would lead to critical mass being, after which there won't be much of a Singapore left. I like my country, so I choose not to study Chinese, as part of national interest.
